Directions:In this part,there are five items which you should translate into Chinese,each item consisting of one or two sentences.These sentences are all underlined in and taken from the reading passages you have just read in Part I, You can refer back to the passages so as to identify their meanings in the context.(请把翻译写在答题卡指定位置。)

1.(Para 1,Passage 1)

Your boss holds your future prospects in his hands. Some bosses are hard to get along with.Some have excellent qualifications but no idea when it comes to dealing with people.

2.(Para5.Passage 1)

In short, getting along with your boss requires getting to know his likes and dislikes and learning to work with his personality and management style.

3.(Para 2.Passage 2)

Because I couldn't speak a word of English,I couldn't tell the waiter what I wanted.I was very upset and started to make some gestures, but the waiter didn't understand me.Finally,I ordered the same thing the man at the next table was eating.

因为我一句 英文都不会说,我不能让服务员了解我的需要，我非常困扰，接着我开始一通比划，但是服务生仍然不能理解我。最终，我只能选择和邻座的客人点-样的饭菜。

4.(Para 2 Passage 3)

My husband was very supportive and helped me to make my decision. He emphasized all of the things I can do around the house, and said he thought I could be a great success in business.

5.(Para 4.Passage 3)

But as his joking statement approached truth,my husband stopped talking to me about my job,I have received several promotions and pay increases,and I'm now making more money than he is.
